Deltagande arkitekter

I den urvalsprocess där de tävlande valdes ut deltog 142 arkitekter spridda över 25 länder och fyra världsdelar. Det fanns en ambition att få en bredd bland arkitekterna, med internationellt välkända namn såväl som mindre och inte lika internationellt uppmärksammade kontor.

Viktiga kriterier vid valet av arkitekterna i tävlingen har varit gestaltningsförmåga samt kunskap om och erfarenhet av arbete i stadsmiljöer som kräver stor lyhördhet för det historiska sammanhanget och omgivande natur. I de praktiska övervägandena ingick arkitekternas förmåga att under en längre projekteringsprocess utveckla projektet i nära samarbete med beställaren och deras erfarenhet av att driva byggnadsprojekt på ett kostnadseffektivt sätt.
